Is your business running Tecom access control with #SecurityCommander?

You need to plan for a major upgrade in the very near future and here is why.

Aritech have recently announced an end of life product alert.

E.O.L Product:
TS0867 -Tecom Intelligent Four Door Controller.

Replacement:
TS1066 -Network Access Controller

Impact	Resolution
The TS1066 is not compatible with any Challenger 10 with pre Challenger Plus firmware (V10-06 or below)	Upgrade of Challenger 10 firmware to V10-07+ version
Security Commander software is not compatible with direct NAC connection or Challenger Plus firmware.	Migration to Tecom C4 software will be required, depending on the scale of your business this can be a project scale event that takes time, planning to implement.

Any failed four door controller will no longer be a simple part replacement but instead a full system upgrade.

This day will come, will you be ready?

The good news, if your currently running Tecom C4 or Forcefield 8 software there is no need for a system upgrade as these both support both Challenger Plus firmware and NAC hardware.

A new version of the Tecom C4 -Challenger 10 driver has just been released by Aritec

Why update?

I have been advised of an issue where Tecom C4 Users credentials were not downloading to panel correctly after user learnt/added manually causing intermittent Access Denied – Card not in IUM events generated.

This is resolved in the latest release.

Starlight Foundation – Gift to a Sick Kid

This year the KTR Staff team nominated to donate to the Starlight Foundation after one of our own team members had a sick child at the Royal Children’s Hospital and received the benefit of the this non for profit organisation.

Director Michele Birtchnell said, “Many of our team members have had sick children and we understand the positive impacts that these organisations have for our children and their road to recovery. As an organisation our small contribution can assist a family during a difficult time. We are proud of our team and the commitment they have not only the company but the broader community, knowing that a small act of kindness can have a ripple effect”.
