How our garden grows…
It is so easy to transform that organic waste from the office to something more than it was. With 25% of global waste being organic it makes sense to manage this in a way that “upstream” benefits, which further conserves our resources and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Compost improves water quality by retaining pollutants such as heavy metals, nitrogen, phosphorus, oil and grease, fuels, herbicides, and pesticides. It also adds nutrients to the soil to improve production in fruit and vegetable plants.
KTR’s organic waste is gratefully accepted, composted, and returned to the vegetable garden at “Barrowhurst”
